About Me

My goal as a physical therapist is to allow each patient an individualized experience to maximize his or her body's potential. I have experience working with runners, equestrians, and the every day athlete, as well as those with pain that hasn't been resolved elsewhere. My experience with hypermobility, head and jaw pain, spinal dysfunction, and neural and visceral/abdominal pain allows me to treat the whole body by looking at a variety of systems. Adding in Functional Nutrition allows to me to target inflammation, pain, and body imbalances at a cellular level.

I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and continue to take extensive continuing education classes. I have taken coursework from the Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, The Barral Institute, and fascial counterstrain from the Jones Institute, among other coursework.

I received my Post-Master's Certificate in Functional Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health, and am a Certified Nutrition Specialist.

After studying Creative Writing and Photography at Oberlin College, I had a brief stint in the photography and publishing world. Rehabbing from an injury introduced me to the creative, awesome world of physical therapy.

In my spare time, I love to run, garden, do yoga, cook and eat, and spend time with my family. I'm always looking for a good Scrabble match!
